Class Summary: The concept of motion is one that we experience every single day. From cars and airplanes to smaller objects, and even people, movement and motion is all around us. In this course students will participate in a variety of cool experiments including yanking a table cloth from underneath dishes and launching mini-rockets in the air!
Educational Value: This course introduces students to Newton’s three laws of motion. They will perform a number of hands-on experiments that help them learn the basic of motion, including the fact that objects stay in motion unless they are met by an unbalanced force. They will also learn other important facts including the fact that objects with more mass require more force, and for every single action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
