Learning doesn't have to stop after the bell rings! Even during a difficult school year, we provide quality science enrichment. Mad Science after-school programs are both educational and fun. Our hands-on, one-hour, 6 to 8-week science programs are themed around a particular area of science and include such topics as electricity, magnetism, optics, biology, and many more.

Fantastic Forces
In this program, kids explore a variety of introductory topics in engineering, physics, and chemistry as they learn how science can be applied in everyday life. They learn about concepts like bridge construction, the forces of flight, how air pressure can be used to move things, and more!

Science Surprise
Kids will unbox the surprising world of science as they discover a new STEM topic in each class! In this program, kids learn about several specialized areas of science, including forensics, geology, meteorology, entomology, and mechanical engineering. They gain foundational science knowledge that will help them in their future science endeavors.

Code in Motion brings active, playful STEM learning to afterschool programs with Unruly Splats. Classes combine block-based coding with movement, teamwork, and game creation. Students stay engaged, build STEM confidence, and have serious fun—all through hands-on, high-energy activities beyond the traditional classroom.

Crazy Chemworks
Welcome to the world of chemistry! Children make slime, experiment with different reactions, and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts our young Mad Scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab!

FAQ
How long are your programs (weeks and hours)?
Our standard program is held immediately after school for 1 hour and typically lasts for 6 to 8 weeks. However, we will be happy to discuss any atypical scheduling needs.
+Who pays for an after-school program?
Typically, after-school programs are paid for by parents. In some cases, a PTO, other organization, or districts themselves may opt to pay part or all of the students' enrollment.
+What grade levels is this for?
Programs are designed for grades K-6th. The nature of our programs allows for grade levels to participate in the program together.
+Who teaches your programs?
We recruit outgoing, energetic individuals who have experience working with groups of elementary-aged children. Instructors undergo background checks.
+What does a typical class look like?
Each week we explore a new topic! Classes consists of 2-3 inquiry-based discussions, 2-3 science demonstrations, 2-3 hands-on activities and a cool take-home project that aligns with the topic of the week.
+How does registration work?
Mad Science can provide your school with colorful registration forms. You can choose to collect the registration forms at your school, or Mad Science can handle the registrations through our online system.
+What does the school need to provide?
The school needs to provide a class area with tables and chairs. The school will also need to distribute the registration information to parents.
