Preschool Workshops
Our preschool workshops offer hands-on learning experiences for kids ages 3-5. Each one is an age-appropriate exploration of a single science topic, like air, animals, weather, and worms. Kids enjoy engaging demos, perform simple experiments, and discover how science helps us understand our world.
Elementary-level Workshops
Our elementary-level in-class interactive workshops are aligned to STEM objectives and are curriculum correlated for each grade level. With professional lesson plans, pre-and-post activity guides, and animated instructors, Mad Science workshops are an ideal way to reinforce core science concepts.

This program was educational and fun as always. It's an event our families all look forward to!
Angie, St. Norbert School

Our instructor was GREAT!! The kids were entertained and informed. All of my students wanted to know where they could buy supplies to do the experiments at home.
Kim, Marie Schaefer School
O'Fallon, IL
Absolutely one of my favorite assemblies EVER! The kiddos were excited and engaged throughout, and actually learned about physical/chemical reactions and Bernoulli's principle--without even realizing it! We will definitely schedule another show! Thank you so much Dangerous Dan!

FAQ
Does everyone always take something home from a workshop?
Yes! A take-home activity is part of every in-person workshop program. It relates to the lesson and extend their learning at home! Virtual programs will vary depending on if you add on supplies or not.
+How long in advance do I need to book?
We recommend 4-6 weeks before your event date. If you are going to be using our Teacher Resource Guide to complement the workshop, allow a little extra time to go over the pre-events with your class before the actual workshop.
+For what ages are Mad Science workshops appropriate?
Our workshops are appropriate for children between ages 3-5 for preschool workshops and ages 5-12 for elementary-level workshops.
+Where can I have my workshop?
Workshops are best done in a classroom. It's best when there is a table in the front for the Mad Scientist as well as table or desks for the students. We are also able to conduct programs virtually.
+Can workshops be done after school?
Yes! We're happy to bring your workshops to your school even after school. We do ask that one of your teachers or staff memembers who knows your students remain in the room during each program date.
